PSSU Control Units

PSSU Control Units exceed the requirements of Category 3 as defined in EN954-1, they are designed to be used in medium to high risk safety system applications.

There are four versions of PSSU Control Units available, all have the same high level of safety integrity but offer different mounting options and supply voltages. See the Technical Specification Table below for more details on these and other options.

PRSU Control Unit

PRSU/4 Control Units have the same high level of safety integrity, conforming to Category 3 of EN954-1, they are designed to be used in medium to high risk safety system applications.

The PRSU/4 is an extremely compact unit with a 22.5mm wide DIN rail mounting enclosure. It is an ideal controller for when space is at a premium. See the Technical Specification Table below for more details.

PSSZ Control Unit

The PSSZ-2 miniature DIN-rail Control Unit is remarkable because of its small size. This control unit has Category 3 fail-safe monitoring but is similar in size to a DIN-rail terminal.

The PSSZ-2 has solid-state normally closed volt-free outputs which means that it is compatible with virtually any interface, including the input modules of bus systems such as AS-i. See the Technical Specification Table below for more details.

PSCU Control Unit

PSCU Control Units have been specifically designed to provide either a control/signalling system or a low-risk safety system. All Tapeswitch PSCU Controllers exceed the requirements of Category 1 as defined in EN954-1. See the Technical Specification Table below for more details.
