Guardscan B Series/Solo - The Guard For ASi-Safe

Tapeswitch Ltd. have launched their NEW B Series/Solo Light Curtain which is a versatile development of the highly successful Guardscan range of B Series Light Curtains. The B Series/Solo Light Curtain will be of particular interest to users of ASi-Safety at Work and other safety bus systems.

Guardscan B Series Light Curtains have been widely used in safety applications throughout industry for several years in order to provide protection for operators working at or near dangerous machinery.

Tapeswitch's latest development of the B Series/Solo Light Curtain has volt-free outputs built into the receiver unit rather than the more usual PNP ones. This means that the B Series/Solo Light Curtain can connect directly to the same kind of ASi-Safe slave modules that are used to monitor E-Stop switches over the ASi-Safe interface. This is much more convenient than the alternative of having an additional control unit close to the guard to provide the volt-free, normally closed connections to the ASi-Safe slave module.

The Guardscan B Series/Solo Light Curtain is approved by TÜV and conforms to EN954 Category 4 when used in conjunction with ASi-Safe slave modules.
